Talk to us a bit about what you do.

I'm a visual artist born and raised in Reykjavik Iceland but I live and work out of my studio in Hackney Central, London where I've been

based for the past 3 years or so. I've had too many titles of different types of work of what I do so it's just easier to call myself a visual artist

instead of an illustrator slash graphic designer slash painter slash baaaa.. you see what I mean?

Tell us about your beginnings, was this something you always wanted to do?

Definitely. My dad's an artist and I was always hanging around at his studio when I was a kid.

I went back home a few weeks ago and found this amazing painting I did when I was 7 years old of a black cat

with a white head and it looks like he's doing one of those high-wire walks or whatever using his tail to balance,

how funny is that! the imagination of a 7 year old can be priceless.

Do you favour one medium of work to another, or are you happy to in cooperate various mediums throughout your work?

Personally I enjoy illustrations and painting by hand just a little bit more than a digital medium, probably because the hand work

and textures can be hard to capture digitally but like the way I see it it's two very different things even though nowadays it doesn’t always seem like it.

For example, if I was a photographer I'm pretty sure I'd prefer film instead of digital and I'd probably develop most of

my films at first but with the fast pace

of the industry these days and those deadly tomorrow's deadlines it makes it easier to go digital I believe.. does that make any sense at all? haha

What or who are you inspired by at the moment, and how much if any does this influence your work?

I'm working on my next exhibition which will be back home this winter, strange looking birds and the texture of feathers

are my inspiration for that series. For who I'm inspired by, I believe it's the people I'm closest to like my extraordinary

talented girlfriend Saga Sig, her passion and thrust for her photography is so enthusiastic that it's impossible not be inspired by.

Is there a “work process” to the way in which your work is constructed?

It depends of what type of work it is really but usually ye I have a certain routine to start the process. For illustrations I usually just

go with the flow pretty much, I like to put my brain to sleep when I'm drawing actually,

it's hard to describe and I know it sounds silly but I have this technique how I trick my brain not to think

and I just let me hands go nuts, my subconscious plays its roll to keep the linework within the borders of course

but ye I'm brain-dead quite often sort of speak. Loud music is the perfect companion to this zone-out

technique of mine, some good southern gnarly rap never fails.

What have been some of your favourite projects to work on?

As a painter I have to say my solo exhibition entitled 'Evilution' I showed in Atlanta this summer at ABV Gallery, I got so

much love out there, it was intense. As far as illustration and graphics goes I have to say the logos I did for my boys

Klever and Craze are my top favorite projects so far,

they gave me all the freedom I needed to go basically nuts on the logos and I did. When people are so relaxed and open minded and 100% trust me

with their identity and appreciate the hard work and time that it takes to get things done properly, that's where I start to favorite the work.

Tell us a bit about what you are working on now and what we can expect in the near future.

After this yet untitled exhibition I'm having this winter in Reykjavik I'm going to come back to London and put up a show in London, I have to!

I'm getting too many question marks when the fuck I will actually exhibit in London so expect that

to happen anytime soon. Besides that I'm working on a more personal collaborative project with Saga which

I cant really talk to much of at this point but I promise it'll be something else!
