In the only major retrospective in Europe, the V&A is currently hosting, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, which offers as a showcase and a celebration of the innovative and visionary late fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen. An extraordinary creative talent is evident, from the renowned tailoring expertise, the vast range of eclectic influences, to the never ending pursuit to challenge and breakdown boundaries. Savage Beauty which originated by the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, has been edited and expanded for the V&A's large exhibition Galleries, featuring additional 66 garments and accessories, lent by private individuals and collectors such as Katy England, Annabelle Neilson and the Isabella Blow collection.
